Signed with Meteyard's tortoise in the lower right quadrant of the design. Titles in silver above and below the panel. A small seahorse in silver on the rear board. A series of seven poems that reflect Carman's feelings about his winter holidays. 5 poems are about Carman's warm and colorful experiences in the Bahamas, while December Scituate and Winter at Tortoise Shell are about Carman's visit to Scituate, Massachusetts. A striking copy with some loss of paper at the head of the spine, and slight rubbing to the design. Finlay 52.
